Months

There have been more severe thunderstorms during the years, 1958 to 2004 than
hail. Over 3,200 severe thunderstorm events occurred from May to July (most in
July, about 1,500).

Approximately 4,000 hail events from March to August (most hail events in
May, about 1400). There are more hail events than severe thunderstorm events
in the months of April and May.
